Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your use of familyfinancialvault.ca and the Family Financial Vault tool ("the Vault"), provided by Pankaj Bhatia, PFA, CHS. By using the Vault, you agree to these terms.
1. Personal use
The Vault is provided free of charge to individuals and families for their own personal planning. You may print and share your own report with your family, executor and professional advisors.
2. Not advice
The Vault and its reports provide general information and planning estimates based on the information you enter and the general rules of the province or territory you select. They are not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice and do not create an advisor–client relationship. Rules change and individual situations differ, so always review your situation with a qualified lawyer, accountant or licensed advisor before acting.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, for keeping your password and backup files safe, and for not entering highly sensitive information such as your SIN, banking passwords, PINs or full account numbers. Because your vault is stored only on your device and encrypted with your password, lost passwords and deleted browser data cannot be recovered.
4. Intellectual property
The Vault, including its design, content, report wording, analysis method, calculations, software code and the name Family Financial Vault™, is the proprietary property of Pankaj Bhatia and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws.
5. Prohibited uses
Without our prior written permission, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, modify, translate or create derivative works of the Vault, its reports or its analysis method;
- reverse-engineer, decompile, de-obfuscate or attempt to extract the Vault's source code or logic;
- host, frame, mirror, resell or redistribute the Vault or any part of it;
- use the Vault, its reports or its method to offer services to clients, or as part of any commercial, advisory or competing product;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or test the Vault.
6. Advisors
Licensed advisors may offer the Vault to their clients through a personal link. Advisors are independent of the Vault's operator, are responsible for their own advice and for the client information they receive, and must use the Vault only as permitted by their subscriber terms and their regulators. Advisor access may be suspended for misuse or non-payment.
7. Limitation of liability
The Vault is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pankaj Bhatia is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Vault or reliance on its reports, including loss of data.
8. Changes
We may update the Vault and these terms at any time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
